Did you know,

In the past, small bags of Cumin were given to newly-wed couples as a symbol of fidelity & faithfulness. Cumin was even fed to the poultry in order to stop them from going out of the farmyard boundaries. Cumin was also believed to keep lovers faithful and hence, was often used in love potions.

The Egyptians had known Cumin five millennia ago; It was used  medicinally and cosmetically to induce a pallid complexion.

From the medicinal point, many herbalist of the middle ages believed that Cumin had comforting and carminative effects. Cumin water (boiled in water) relieves from flatulence & colic pain.

sticks to one side of the food processing bowl (about 5 to 7 minutes).

Remove the dough from the bowl. Shape it into a big ball and roll it 1/4 inch thick over a lightly floured rolling pin. Using a pizza cutter cut it criss cross to get diamond shaped cookies.

Bake it in a pre-heated 350 F oven for 10 to 20 minutes. do not let it brown. Cool and serve alone or with tea or coffee.

Smart Food Tips of the Issue:

Why your potatoes go bad when with onions ? psst...They are like husband & wife. Actually, onions release a lot of gas & spoil the potatoes. Do not keep them together.

Hate soggy & dried fried chicken? Immerse the chicken in a brine solution (a pinch of salt in water) and leave it in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Now follow your recipe directions.

constipated or have diarrhea? Have an apple or prune juice or lots of pickled olives to relieve constipation. Have yoghurt, banana, jello & Khichri (Indian Risotto)  without spices to relieve diarrhea.
